Thanks

    Hello,

Thank you for writing back to us and updating us on the status of the issue.

Did you try to download the drivers for the graphic card from the manufacturer's website?

DirectX Diagnostic Tool helps you troubleshoot issues with the DirectX suite of multimedia technologies that come with Windows. If you're having trouble getting game animation or a movie to run properly, you should run DirectX Diagnostic Tool to try to find the source of the problem.

    • Press Windows Key + R to bring up the Run Window.
    • In the Run Window, type dxdiag
    • This will run and automatic test which will determine if graphic card and sound card are working properly.
    • Please click on the Display tab and check if the graphic card is detected there.

If you have not tried downloading the graphic card drivers from the manufacturer's website, you can check the link provided below.

Hope the information provided helps. Do let us know the status of the issue, so that we can assist you further.

    Hi Kavspoodey,

Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community. It seems that NVIDIA Display settings are not available.

What is the model of NVIDIA graphic card you are using?

Check if the NVIDIA graphics card is detected in device manager. If is detected, update it's drivers and check if that helps.

    a) Swipe in from the right edge of the screen, and then tap Search.

(If you're using a mouse, point to the lower-right corner of the screen, move the mouse pointer up, and then click Search).

    b) Enter Device Manager in the search box, and tap or click Device Manager.

    c) In the list of hardware categories, double-tap or double-click the category your device is in and then double-tap or double-click the device you want. For example, to see your video card, tap or click Display adapters, and then double-tap or double-click the video card name.

    d) Tap or click the Drivertab, tap or click Update Driver, and then follow the instructions. You might be asked for an admin password or to confirm your choice.

If that does not fix the issue, please reinstall the display adapter drivers. For details, refer to these suggestions.

    a) Press Windows key and X key together.

    b) Select Device manager.

    c) Locate and expand Display adapter.

    d) Right-click on the Display adapter that is listed and click “Uninstall”.

Restart the computer and download, install the latest drivers from the NVIDIA website.

Try these steps and let us know the results. We’d be happy to help if you need any further assistance.

    Hello,

You may set the computer in a clean boot state. Setting the system in a clean boot state will help to identify if any third party applications or startup items are causing the issue.

How to perform clean boot in Windows

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135

Note: Refer "How to reset the computer to start normally after clean boot troubleshooting" to reset the computer to start as normal after troubleshooting.

Hope this helps. Otherwise, feel free to write us back for further assistance and we will be glad to help you ahead.

    Thank you
