I'm really getting tired of these things appearing on some of my other favorite classic games that can run on my windows 7 pc, any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Some of the pre '04 games that used Direct3D  or 3dfx  don't work properly without fixes, but some popular old games have fan sites with fixes for graphics anomalies such as this, and worse.

I doubt that a 64bit OS factors in as the main issue with 64bit normally relates to the installer, or DRM.

However, if you just bought the game from Steam any issues should have already been fixed

(Well, maybe not. I just looked, and Steam specifies -  Windows® 2000/XP/Vista, but if it runs on

Vista with no problems it should normally run properly on Win7 ).

The Steam forums may be able to help with any common bugs though.

Reinstalling the game, or trying some of the compatibility options such as Disable Desktop Composition, sometimes helps.

Running the game on one core of your cpu may help.

It could also be your Intel HD graphics. I've come across a few older games that don't run

with my HD4000 that will run on my dedicated graphics, and there are a few games that run

on the HD4000, but not on the dedicated card.
