How do I select a text box to edit in Paint - Windows 7 Home Premium?  Once I leave the text box I can't re-select it again to edit the text or grab it to move it ......I must be missing something very simple???  Is there a program manual somewhere?  Yes, the zoom is 100% and I am the Administrator.  Thanks for any help!!

Paint is a very simple program and does not support re-selecting a text box to edit the contents.

This is the Vista Forum, perhaps you should be in the Windows 7 Forum.

Do you have a big "A" to the left of the image area in the normal Toolbox?  If you click on the "A" can you draw a box on the image and write text into it? Once you get an area to write text into, see if the Text Toolbar is no longer dimmed.

Up in the top left corner, there is a big button with a dotted-line square on it, and it says, "Select".  If you click on that, it will allow you to select anything on the page/picture and drag it wherever you want. ;-)  (Obviously this is too late to be of any help with the project you were asking about, but it could be of use to you or others in the future.)

If you need to correct the text within the text box after it is saved, the only option is to use the eraser tool to erase the text that you want to edit, select the text tool again and reenter the entire text with your edits.
