I understand that you are unable to use the Perixx Wireless Mouse and Keyboard. Don’t worry as I will help you further.
This issue may occur due to driver incompatibility on Windows 8.1.
Let us follow the troubleshooting steps from the methods as given below:
Method 1.
Run the hardware troubleshooter and check the issue. Hardware troubleshooter diagnoses and fixes most of the driver related issues.
Run the hardware troubleshooter and check if that helps. Follow these steps to run the troubleshooter:
- Press the ‘Windows + C’ to activate the charms menu or move the mouse pointer to bottom right corner of the screen and you will get the charms menu.
- Click on ‘search’ and select ‘settings’ and type ‘Troubleshooting’ and select ‘Troubleshooting’.
- Click on ‘Hardware and Sound’ and select ‘Hardware and Devices’ and click on next to run the troubleshooter.
If the above steps did not fix the issue, let us move to method 2.
Method 2.
If the Hardware troubleshooter does not indicate the cause for the issue, I suggest you to check the manufacturer's website to install the updated drivers for keyboard and mouse. If there are no keyboard and mouse drivers listed for Windows 8, I would suggest you to install the drivers in windows 7 compatibility mode and check if it helps.
Follow the steps to install the drivers in Compatibility mode:
- Right click the driver installation file and select Properties then tap or click the Compatibility tab.
- Place a check in the Run this program in compatibility mode for: box.
- Tap or click the drop down box and select a previous operating system, then tap or click ok.
- Try installing the driver and check.
