    Hi,

    Sorry for the delayed response.

I would suggest you to try the following steps and check if it works for you.

    a. Open Device Manager, by clicking Startand type device managerin the search option.

    b. Right click the Teredo Tunneling Pseudo-Interfaceand click Update Driver Software.

    c. Click onBrowse my computer for driver software.

    d. Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer.

    e. Browse through the following > Network AdapterMicrosoftMicrosoft Teredo tunneling adapterand select the driver.

To make sure that you download the correct and the most up-to-date version of the driver, visit the Motherboard manufacturer’s website wherein all the drivers will be listed. Select the appropriate driver for the device that is compatible with Windows 7.

You may uninstall the existing driver from device manager before installing the new one.

    1. Open Device Managerby clicking the Startbutton, clicking Control Panel, clicking System and Maintenance, and then clicking Device Manager

If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation. 2. Locate the Network Adapter, right click on it and select Properties. 3. Go to driver tab and click on Uninstallbutton to uninstall the driver associated with the device.

Once the installation is completed, restart your computer and check if the issue got resolved.

For further reference, you may refer to the following Microsoft Help article.

    Hi DrissRakkabe,

The error code 10 is displayed in Device manager when a device cannot start or if the drivers required for the device doesn’t start. I would suggest you to try the steps suggested in this article and check:

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/943104

Some users have also mentioned that certain third party security software like Zone alarm have blocked the Microsoft Teredo tunneling service. If you are using any third party security software, disable it temporarily and then check if the issue persists.

Important Note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you shouldn't disable your antivirus software. If you have to temporarily disable it to install other software, you should re-enable it as soon as you're done. If you're connected to the Internet or a network while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

Try these steps and let us know the results for further assistance.

Wouldn't someone expecting you to give exactly that advice to disable the security software so whatever is stopping taredo from starting can upload information ? After all hackers and spyware rely on the advice of professionals to make their move or pre-program software to do so.

    Dear Bennett,

I am having this same problem and have modified the registry and dealt with the device manager as recommended in other advice postings. I have (temporarily) uninstalled all antivirus/security but the wifi still isn't working. Honestly, my computer went from working perfectly to no wifi. Please advise how I may remedy this problem.
