    Same here.

I've been wrestling with these warnings for a few years now.  Currently I'm on native Intel 4600 graphics at home, and an HD7750 at work, otherwise the machines are the same., and both machines log these warnings.  I also have 3x1920x1200 displays at work and home, which I suspect is the root cause.  Its just too much desktop for DWM.   I was hoping things had changed, but apparently not.  Its a big fail on MS's part.   On a side note, every windows machine I've check, also logs the same errors.

    Hi,

The desktop window manager enables Windows Aero visual effects on the desktop in addition to various features such as glass window frames, 3-D window transition animations, Windows Flip, Windows Flip3D, and high resolution support. The Event ID 500 and 501 is usually displayed when the graphic subsystem which is controlled by the desktop Window manager is over used.

Method 1: Place the computer in clean boot and check if it helps.

To help troubleshoot error messages and other issues, you can start Windows 8 by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This kind of startup is known as a "clean boot." A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

**How to perform a clean boot to troubleshoot a problem in Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8******

Note: Check the title “How to reset the computer to start as usual after clean boot troubleshooting” for reverting to normal mode.

Method 2: If the issue still persists, I would suggest you to uninstall the current display driver and install the latest available display driver from the manufacturer’s website. If the issue is caused due to a corrupt or misconfigured driver, following this step will resolve the issue. Refer to these steps:

    a) Press Windows key +X, select “Device manager”.

    b) Locate Display adapter and right click to select properties.

    c) In the driver tab, click on “Uninstall” to uninstall the current driver.

    d) Then install the driver that you downloaded from the manufacturer’s website.

Please reply if you have any questions.

try this......change your display to windows 7 aero theme.

open reg editor....click system configuration...click tools stroll down to registry editor, click it and than click launch and go to this location in the registry.

    hkey local machine\system\currentcontrolset\control\sessionmanager\memorymanagement\prefectchparameters

the enableprefetcher is on the right, right click it and click modify ...change the value data as shown below and restart your computer after each change.

change it to 0 for disable, restart your computer, go back to it and change it to 1 for application launch prefetching enable. restart your computer. go back and change it to 2 for boot prefectching enabled. restart again and go back and change it to 3. for applaunch and boot enabled which is optimal and

    default.

After you reach your desktop on the last restart check with event viewer and see if it is still showing.

Have tried both methods and neither work. Have also used Nvidia tech support which suggested I go back and install an earlier version of their driver which still didn't work.
