    Hi,

I would suggest you to perform the following steps and check if it resolves the issue.

    a)      Open the MS Paint file that your picture is in.

    b)      Find the area where you want to add text.

    c)       Select the Text tool, represented by the letter A, in the toolbox on your left.

    d)      Put the cursor on the spot where you want the text to start.

    e)      Select font style and size from the help box that pops up when you select the tool.

    f)       Start typing. You will see the text being added as you type. This is a good indicator of how it will look when you are finished.

    g)      Click outside of the text, and it will be fixed onto your picture. If the spacing, size, or placement is not quite right, scrap it and start over by first selecting "Undo" on the Edit menu, and then starting the process over again.

For any additional information, refer to the article.

Create your text in Microsoft Word. Copy it, and paste it into a text box in paint. It should copy over with whatever alignment you give it in Word.

Maybe my reply is quite late but I add the info for people searching for answers in the future.

You can't align text with paint anymore. It was possible with older versions I think but no longer. MS Paint is now for very very basic image editing only. I'd use Paint.NET or another free program like that for your basic image editing.

    Sorry but... you're ALL wrong

    * Type the text you wish to align

    * Highlight AND cut (Ctrl X)

    * Paste in MS Word (or WordPad)

    * Click on proper alignment icon, centered, left, right or even Full justification if you wish.

    * Highlight AND cut (Ctrl X)

    * Go back to your text box in paint and PASTE (Ctrl V)

    Done !

Now, it is impossible to align text now in Paint. I don't understand why it became the answer. Maybe the people who asked posted in the wrong place? :)

    Cheers!
