Hi ICTag,

Did you manage to solve this?

I am trying to achieve the same purpose.

    tvilhena,

I did contact Microsoft support and got all sorts of standard advice (updating software etc) but at the end of the day, all I achieved was a lot of wasted time.

It seems that if you buy them separately you have to use separate usb dongles, which takes up an extra port.

Annoying, but I hope this warns users to either buy the pair together, or just go for best of breed separate devices. I like the keyboard a lot. But I'd choose a different mouse.

What I need is for you to stop adding noise to this thread unless you have something to add.

You clearly don't understand what the question is, and have no knowledge on how to solve it, so please just make sure forum guidelines are being followed and stop those "call support" messages.

    Best Regards,

    Tiago

    Hello Pinaki,

This should be a simple answer without the need to contact support.

    I will though.

Regardless the question still stands and it would be useful to have it here.

How to pair a Sculpt Mouse or keyboard with a receiver.

I have been using these keyboards for over 10 years and previous models had a physical pair button. These new ones don't, so how do I do it?

I really don't understand why you, as a forum moderator, instead of trying to address these questions only redirect to other support options.

If you don't have anything to add don't just leave repeating messages please.

Also, why is your reply marked as an answer when it clearly is not?

    Best Regards,

    Tiago

    Hi Tiago,

Please provide the following information related to the issue:

    1. How are you trying to establish the connection for the mouse? What happens when you try to do so?
    2. Is the device getting detected under Device Manager?

The Microsoft Sculpt Ergonomic mouse is to be connected using the USB dongle/transceiver. You need to open the base of the mouse, take out the USB dongle, insert it into the USB port on the computer and then turn on the mouse using the power icon present at the base.

You can also download the quick start guide from the link:

    http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/en-us/p/sculpt-ergonomic-mouse#support

Also, make sure that you download the driver/software (Windows 7) for the device from the link provide above in order to use the mouse. The device might show up when connection through the port under Devices list. But, you may not find it under Device Manager.

You may also connect the transceiver to a different USB port (either in the front or at the back panel) on the computer and check if you are able to use the mouse device.

Here’s article that shows some tips to troubleshoot such issues:

    http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/en-us/help/support/troubleshooting/mouse/wireless-bluetooth

    For reference:

You can also follow the steps from the link to troubleshoot issues with the mouse on Windows 7:

    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/help/mouse-touchpad-keyboard-problems-in-windows#v1h=tab01

Please keep us posted. We will be glad to assist you.

    Hi Pinaki,

    It is the same issue.

I bought the Microsoft Sculpt Ergonomic Mouse and the sculpt ergonomic keyboard separate.

I am trying to connect both to the same dongle like it happens when you buy the set version, but unlike all the previous versions I can't seem to find a sync button.

    They all work fine independently.

    Best Regards,

    Tiago
