Hi,

I installed Win 7 32 bit on my Lenovo G519 laptop. Now I want to use my wireless Internet but can't find the way I can turn on the wireless on that laptop!!

I tried Fn+F5 and also F5 but it's still turned off.

How to turn on wireless in that laptop please?

    Hi,

    Thanks for the reply.

Yes, I had installed the drivers after installing Win 7.

I downloaded and installed that driver (even thought the one that I had installed had newer version!) but still can't turn on the wireless on that laptop. It says, "Wireless capability is turned off".

Isn't there any way to turn it off!!!!?

    Hi

Did you install drivers for your wireless card after installing Windows 7?

You can normally find them in the support section on your laptop manufacturer's website.

For your laptop click HERE (Lenovo Support Website)

Change the component to 'Networking - Wireless' and download the relevant driver for your laptop.

Let us know if this hasn't worked.

    Hi Sara,

Your comments are all valuable and in a high level of proficiency. I appreciate you.

First (even before coming here) I had read the user manual which was a .PDF file. I got that the Wifi will be turned on only on Win 8, apparently!

The drivers, especially the one related to the Wireless card, were all fine but I replaced them with better ones. Again no success.

About the services, I too tried it. Same message, "It's turned off, turn it on".

It seems that the wifi is for Win 8 on this laptop and to me it's so odd!

    Thanks.
