It wouldn't be a Windows option, it would be up to the manufacturer of the camera. If their driver software includes an option, then you could use that. But only your manufacturer or instruction manual would know if your model has any options like that.
How do I reduce the resolution of my laptop in-built camera on Windows 8.1?
I want to lower the amount of GB I end up using on Skype conversations by reducing my laptop's camera resolution. I have looked at Control Panel->Device Manager -> Imaging Devices -> Front Camera and right clicked on it to see if it will allow me change the resolution settings and I see no option to do so. Would anyone know if it possible on Windows 8.1 at all? Like I know for certain that on Apple Mac laptops one can lower the camera resolution only with certain apps, not otherwise. Thanks!
