*Original Title: Settings after plugging something in the  audio jack

When I first got my laptop (it has windows 8), every time i plugged something in the audio jack, like a microphone to record my voice or just headphones, a settings for the plugged device would come up and it would ask what device i had plugged in.

For example there was options like 'microphone', 'headphones', etc, lets just say i plugged in a microphone to record my voice and i clicked the microphone option, the microphone would then only record my voice if i speak through it and not from my laptops' own  microphone.

So basically, it was really handy but me being the idiotic person i am i accidentally pressed the option 'never show this again' and now as you may have guessed, I can't find it back and i need to record something for an assignment and i need the microphone option so my voice can be clear when i record but i can't find it. I have to use a separate microphone because the actual laptops'microphone isn't as good as a separate one.
