PROBLEM WITH CAMERA- TO GET STARTED, CONNECT A CAMERA

I have dell laptop- Inspiron 15

when I connect to my camera a screen is displayed which says to get started, connect a camera..plz help me to resolve this issue.

    Hi Juhi,

    No need to be worried, I will assist you on this.

    The issue you described could occur due to incompatibility of device driver. I need few more information to get clearer picture on this issue. Please answer the following questions:

    1. Are you referring to camera app?
    2. Did you make any changes to the computer prior to the issue?
    3. What is the model number Dell Inspiron 15 laptop?

    I suggest you to follow the steps mentioned below and check.

    Method 1

    Let’s run the Hardware and Devices troubleshooterto get the problem automatically detected and fixed. Follow the steps in the article below to run Hardware and Devices troubleshooter. Follow the section **“Run the Hardware and Devices troubleshooter”**from the link below.

    Method 2

    If hardware and devices troubleshooter does not help and Windows is not able to pick the appropriate camera drivers through Windows update, download the best compatible webcam drivers from manufacturer website and install manually.

    Download and install drivers.

    Method 3

    Check in device manager if you see any error. Refer the steps mentioned below.

    1. Press Windows Key +R, type devmgmt.msc to and click Enter open the Device Manager.

    Locate the Imaging devices icon and check if you see any error message.

    If you see any error then refer the section, “If you have problems with your webcam” from the link below.

    yes mam i am referring to camera aap.

    no i didnt make any changes prior to this issue.

    my dell laptop model no. is:-

    Inspiron 15 (3521, Late 2012)

    i am not able to find the solution.please tell me an easy way to come out of this problem.
