She as been having this issue for some time which is the WiFi icon looks like this   Although I still have wifi connectivity.

IPconfig/all says "Media disconnected" and looks like this

I have run AVG (paid version) and it has not detected a problem.  I have also changed power boards and power outlet just incase it was a power issue.  Windows is up to date.  I have tried changing Wifi adapters.  I have tried windows troubleshooter but it did not detect an issue.  I have tried updating the Driver.  I have also tried a DNS flush.

Signal strength is good.

What should I try next?  Help................

    Hello Matt,

Thank you for replying with the status of the issue, sorry to know that the issue is still not resolved.

Method 1: I suggest you to disable security software(Antivirus/firewall.

Temporarily disable antivirus software (and any other security software) and firewall on the computer as a test and check if are able to create folder now without error.

Warning: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you shouldn't disable your antivirus software. If you have to temporarily disable it to install other software, you should re-enable it as soon as you're done.

If you're connected to the Internet or a network while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

Method 2: Make sure that the WLAN switch is turned on.

    1. Click Start
    2. All Programs\Accessories and right click on Command Prompt
    3. Select "Run as Administrator" to open a command prompt.

In the command prompt window that opens, type the following commands, each followed by the Enter key:

Reset WINSOCK entries to installation defaults: netsh winsock reset catalog

Reset IPv4 TCP/IP stack to installation defaults. netsh int ipv4 reset reset.log

Reset IPv6 TCP/IP stack to installation defaults. netsh int ipv6 reset reset.log

Reboot the machine. This should help.

Hope this information helps, please reply with the status of the issue for further assistance.
