Trying to download silverlight 5 to continue watching netflix, but every link is for 64-bit only, and I run on 32-bit. Is there a version I can download? I need to get this resolved now so I can do the homework required for my intro to film class.

Original Title: silverlight 5 in 64 bit only??

    Hello,

Hmm, You can try the below steps

1- Try to get an un-installer, May be you can try iobit

    http://www.iobit.com/advanceduninstaller.html

Once you Installed the un-installer, please open it up.

Once the tool opens, you can see a tab named forced un-install.

Click on forced uninstall and type in Microsoft silverlight and click on search or scan, it will try to found the leftover files and registry of the program.

Once the removal completed, please restart the computer.

2- Now try to Install silverlight

    http://www.microsoft.com/silverlight/

3- Make Intenet explorer as your default browser.

Now try to stream movies through netflix

When I go to uninstall any previous version, I cannot find ANY! It's like I've never downloaded it before. I do have a 64-bit OS, low and behold, but there is nothing there for me to uninstall. Could it be a compatibility issue with my Windows Vista? Is the previous silverlight under a different name that I could search for?

I've tried to update it from Netflix, from Windows updates, AND from the website itself. They all say the same thing: "Your operating system does not support the 64-bit version of Silverlight."

    Hi,

What happens exactly when you tried to stream moviews through Netflix? Did you get any error message or error code.

Please try to un-install the previous versions completely from your computer and try to Install the Silverlight 5. Probably you can use some un-installer to remove the leftover files from the registry.
