anyone find a Windows 7 64 bit driver that works for Canon imageCLASS D860 All-in-One Printer?

Canon does not support that particular product underneath Windows 7 x64.

They state as much, "Canon imageCLASS D860: This product is compatible with Windows 7 32-bit. There are no drivers available for Windows 7 64 bit." and "No 64bit drivers are currently available for this SOHO product."

Unfortunately - Canon has decided this particular product is a legacy one.

Regarding the stated problem; no resolution has been found.  I was well aware of the fact that Canon has not offered a compatible driver.  However, past experience has shown that occasionally drivers for similar models sometimes work when a "model specific" driver is no longer offered.  That's what I'd hoped might surface as a resolution on this forum.  For this issue and other compatibility problems  encountered, I regret having taken the action of moving from Vista 32bit to Win7 64bit. It has evolved into an expensive and time consuming mistake.  I'm now weighting my options as I don't know if I can down-grade to Win7 32 bit without the expense of purchasing another OS and what other issues that move might surface.  As for this posting it can be closed unless one of the resident experts may offer further guidance.

During online searches for drivers I did find several generic pay sites claiming to have a compatible driver, however I have a strong mistrust of such claims and can see money down the toilet or worse, paying to introduce malware into my PC.

    Thanks to all.

anyone find a Windows 7 64 bit driver that works for Canon imageCLASS D860 All-in-One Printer?

    JIM_ga,

Your question [64 bit driver for Canon imageCLASS D860 All-in-One Printer] (<-- that is a link you may click on to get back to your original question) has been marked as answered, only you did not mark it as such [Josh-H did.]

I feel obligated to ask if and how you solved your issue?

The marked answer *may not* have been the one you utilized and for the benefit of those who might ask the same question in the future it is better the original poster mark their own answers, in my opinion.

If you feel your question was marked as answered by mistake (the answer does not fit your need/fix your issue) then please, unmark it ASAP.  I am including instructions on how:

You can go to the response and click Unmark it.

If you are able, please return to your original question and let everyone know how you have resolved your issue, if you have, and mark the replies appropriately.  This will help close the question out properly and/or help us help you further if you still require assistance.

    Thanks!
