Taskbar disappeared from Chrome

Hi

I accidentally clicked something on the taskbar and now it's completely gone when I use Chrome. It doesn't even appear if I hover at the bottom of the page.

I have looked online already for solutions, but none of them worked.

So I can tell you that the taskbar isn't set to auto-hide, chrome isn't just on full screen, and I can't tick a box to "Keep the taskbar on top of other properties", because it doesn't even come up as an option for me.

Would appreciate any help with this as it is really annoying.

Thank you :D

THE ONLY SOLUTION FOR ME WAS THIS:

    1. Right click on your task bar.

    3. Go to Processes tab.
    4. Look for explorer.exe and click End Process.
    5. On Task Manager, click File in Menu Bar and select New Task(Run).

No need for all that crap just double click on the restore down button ( one with two squares next to the minimize windows button) and that's it

Annoying needs more adjectives in its  description, :D.  How about throwing the desktop/laptop out the window annoying. I run Windows 7 I've been searching for and reading tons of solutions to solve the problem of the mystery of "The Hidden Taskbar".  Nonwe of them worked for me. We know who dunnit.  Google Chrome kills it every time when it opens.  I found a very simple solution that  finally works for me to uncover the task bar permanently.  I open chrome, reduce it in size, spread the top and sides to the screen edge,  Then resize the bottom to just above the task bar.  Now each new tab and every time time Chrome opens again it will always open the same way.  I find when Google updates Chrome you may need to repeat the above.  But nevertheless finally a solution that works! I hope it works for others.  Bradstearns

What I did was minimise chrome so the taskbar shows on  the main desktop. Right click somewhere on the taskbar and go to properties. It should have tick boxes for auto hide and lock the task bar. Now the scientific bit - I ticked lock taskbar then apply. Close the dialog box down go back in and untick lock - the taskbar should now appear with chrome open.  If that doesn't work try the same with both autohide and lock.
