I was able to get Windows to recognize and install the rx620.  By just plugging in usb.

If that doesn't work for you use the Advanced Printer Setup proceedure and when it asks you to select a printer driver from the list of printer vendors and models, you may have to click on the "windows update" button to force windows to fetch a complete update list of drivers.  After I did that, a much more complete list appeared including the RX620.

You may want to install the Epson Scan utility to do your scanning as I found this provide better quality scans.  It initially used the Windows Scan/Fax utility which wasn't very good.  I found them at:

I tried to connect up the RX620 to my NAS print server but was only able to get the printing to work but not the scanning.  So I went back to directly attaching the computer.

Even still, the instructions end with "Add a local printer or network printer with manual setting". However, beyond that, I don't get any option for "Epson RX620". There are a number of obscure, generic Epson option, but I haven't found one that works.

    Hi,

If you go to the link that Jessen P posted, in the area to automatically install drivers, there is a note in blue text concerning doing it manually...

I'm not real impressed with the way Epson provides drivers, but it might work...

Another possibility would be to try to install your original CD in compatibility mode..

Thank you for your help but the link provided has no drivers and basically says the diver will automatically install.

    However it does not.

When plugging in the printer it is listed in 'Devices and Printers' with an exclamation mark. When you try to 'troubleshoot' this device its spends some time searching then says:

"EPSON Scanner doesn't have a driver"

So how do I get this driver?

    TIA
