How to use function keys on Sculpt Ergonomic keyboard and modify keyboard settings.

I have read all the posts about the FN blue keys and still cannot find any documentation that says what each one is for (although a few are intuitive). I am not planning to program any, I just want to see a list or diagram that explains what each one does. And, when toggled to blue function, the F10, 11, and 12 keys don't seem to do anything.

The posts suggesting downloading the product guides are useless. Where oh where can I find a diagram with the functions listed - both for the F# keys and their alternate blue functions? Lovely keyboard for word processing but 'function'ality is not great.

And, I cannot get the left space bar to reprogram to act as a backspace key even though I followed the directions in the Keyboard and Mouse Center.

    Hi Penni,

What is the model number of the keyboard you use?

Depending upon the model of Sculpt keyboard, you should be able to find an F-Lock key. This should toggle your F1-F12 keys from 'normal' to 'enhanced' operation.

The following article might be helpful in figuring out what the enhanced functionality the keys can perform.

New features of the Sculpt Comfort Keyboard

For more information: Resolve unexpected Function (F1 - F12) or other special key behavior on a Microsoft keyboard

Download Mouse and Keyboard Center to make the most out of your Microsoft keyboard and mouse. You can modify your keyboard settings using this application.

Hope this helps. Get back to us for further assistance on Windows.

You can download the Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard Center here: https://www.microsoft.com/accessories/en-us/downloads/mouse-keyboard-center

I have just bought a Microsoft Sculpt Ergonomic Desktop set (keyboard, mouse and NumPad) and the application shows me what the keys do and lets me customize them.  It also allows the mouse buttons to be customized.

    Hope this helps.

Does anyone know how to reassign blue function keys f5-f8? They don't do anything when I press them, and don't appear in the Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard Center. I am running Windows 7 64 bit and have the latest version of Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard Center. Would also like to reassign F1, but it doesn't appear in the Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard Center.
