Network key mismatch - Windows 7 again...

Hi,

I  installed Windows 7 on an old laptop  (HP Pavilion). When I try to connect to my wifi router and after inserting "network key" I get a message "Network key mismatch" and then I have no connectivity. I can see the network but when I put in the my password it tells me that the "Network Security Key Mismatch". "  Previously, the same laptop with Windows XP installed worked fine.

I followed the steps in the post: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows\_7-networking/network-key-mismatch-windows-7/2947554e-d731-41e0-9339-6ad96c8714b7

But, no list of networks is showing up. So, I cannot check any Security settings. So I added the wireless network under Manage Wireless Network. Still didn't work...

Can you please advice how to proceed?

Thank you,

Best regards,

Alex
