Issue:

I started getting this error a couple of weeks ago.  It happens every time I wake my computer after it has been put in a sleep or hibernate state for a bit (close my laptop or walk away for a while) and come back to it.  I can usually enter my picture password before it BSOD's.  It is more of an inconvenience because I just restart my computer after the error reporting, and I can log in and everything seems fine.  After reading the wiki on what information is needed, I've posted my information to OneDrive and will share the link below.

Things I've done to try and resolve:

I've gone to device manager and updated the driver for the realtek wireless LAN USB 2.0 network adapter, with no progress (maybe I'm not doing it right?).  I've also updated the drivers for everything that Lenovo had for my Yoga, with no progress.

I did install a video camera a few weeks back, and am wondering if I changed a setting on my router that would do this. The two events seem to have coincided, but I'm not 100%.

This isn't causing me any problems other than having to go through the BSOD every time I start my computer.  I can still connect to the internet and run all of my programs.  I'd just like to fix it.

Lenovo Yoga 13 - 1st series

Windows 8.1, 64 bit

Intel I5-3317U @1.7 GHz

8 GB RAM

Hi,

I can certainly understand your concern and appreciate your efforts. Faulty hardware, a buggy system service, antivirus software, and a corrupted NTFS volume can all generate this type of error. Please follow the steps mentioned below to resolve this issue:

Method 1: Power Troubleshooter: Please follow the steps mentioned below to run power troubleshooter on your computer:

a. Press Windows + W keys and type Troubleshooting in the search option.

b. Now select the Troubleshooter from the results.

c. In the search option in the new window, type Power and click on Power troubleshooter and follow the prompts to run the troubleshooter.

Method 2: Change the LAN settings: Follow the steps mentioned below to uncheck the option "Allow the device to wake the computer”:

a) Press Windows key + X, select Device manager.

b) Click on Network adapters to expand it, locate the network adapter.

c) Right click/double click on the network adapter to select properties.

d) In the power management window, make sure that the option “Allow this device to wake the computer” is selected.

e) In the Advanced tab, make sure that the “Wake on LAN” option is enabled.

**Method 3:**Create a new power plan and check if the same occurs there or not. To create a new plan please refer to the section "Can I create a Power Plan" in the following link to create a new power plan:

This was Related to RTL8192cu.sys USB NDIS Driver from Realtek Semiconductor Corporation.  I would install the newest driver available.

Method 2 worked for me!  Thanks Namratha.  I do remember deselecting "Allow this device to wake the computer" when I installed my IP camera.  Reversing this fixed the issue.
