    Resurrecting an old thread but...in case anyone else downloads the maniactools software - AVG finds a threat MalSign.Generic.AB7

    Here's a MUCH better and more secure option if you are running Windows: 

    • Go into Windows Store and search for an app called "Audio Converter Any Format".

    It has good reviews and works really well.  Best of all it is free and doesn't have any security concerns, unlike some of the suggestions below.  I was able to convert a handful of m4a files to mp3 in < 5 mins.
