I keep hearing a little chirp in the video I record on the webcam. Also, the microphone won't auto turn on sometimes, and I have to keep going through recording devices settings

I am on an Asus T100 32 bit

    Hi Nickeeper,

Thank you for posting your query on Microsoft Community.

    Method 1:

Let’s run the hardware and device troubleshooter, Follow these steps to run the troubleshooter:

     a. Press “Windows key + W”.

    b. Type “Troubleshooting” without quotes in the Search box and hit enter.

     c. Select “Hardware and Sound” from the Troubleshooter Window.

     d. Select “Hardware and Devices” under Devices option.

     e. Follow the On Screen instructions

    Method 2:

Uninstall the web cam drivers from device manager. Follow the steps below:

    To open Device Manager

    1. (If you're using a mouse, point to the lower-right corner of the screen, move the mouse pointer up, and then click Search.)
    2. Double-tap or double-click a device category to expand it. If there's a yellow warning icon  on the name of a device, there might be a problem with it. Tap or click the device, tap or click Action, and then tap or click Properties to see details about that device.

     Hope that works!

For further assistance please post back.

    Thank you
