Original title: Windows 7 Cant add printer
Have tried to add a new printer to my laptop which is running windows 7 64bit using devices and printers - add printers however always come up with the error printer driver was not installed operation could not be completed error 0xe0000003.
The same error comes up no matter what printer or manufacturer I try to add. The previous printer still works hence it can print but it won't allow me to add any new printer.
I was told by Brother that the problem is with in the registry but they didn't know where. Does this seem correct?
If so any advice how to fix registry or software to check if there is an issue/conflict?
Thanks

So what happens if you use the printer makers cd, or full installation file from their support site, or does the printer maker not supply software/drivers for win7?
Dear Shivam
My computer is a Fujitsu Lifebook A series, nothing has been added to my knowledge apart from MS office and Cadcam software.
I tried both methods you suggested and unfortunately they didn't work the same error message comes up.
I also tried starting the computer in safe mode but had an error re the print spooler not operating came up.
Any further advice very welcome.
Thats because third party services dont work in safe mode. Safe mode is only designed for Microsoft components and its related services.
Hi Himanshu
I have tried the steps you suggested but couldn't get the print spooler to run is safe mode
In the REGEDIT only had three subkeys I didn't have PJ or PLJ language monitors.
Any other input very welcome.
