Windows Phone Browers Not Displaying Selected Pages - "We're having trouble displaying this page."

Phone: Windows Phone 8.1 (Lumia 1020), running IE 11.

Issue: Several, but not all, web pages generate the same error:

"We're having trouble displyaing this page.  We're having trouble with the page you're trying to reach and can't open it right now.  Try the following: Refresh the page or try again later."

Example: Mobile.aa.com loads fine.  When I tap "Login", the login page generates the error.

AND, if I set the phone to use the desktop pages (not mobile), www.aa.com loads fine, and when I try to log in, I get the same error.

I have verified the sites are working (I can log in to both the mobile and desktop sites via Chrome, Firefox, and IE on an Android phone and Windows 7 laptop).

I have verified with the carrier it isn't them (the Android phone is on their network).  I can send/receive emails, texts, SMS, both via wifi and LTE data. And when a web page works, it works regardless of whether I am on wifi or LTE (cellular) data.  And the error occurs regardless of whether I am on wifi or cellular data.

Help!  These sites are rather critical to me.

I have same issue with the Starbucks Login Page. I can only access that from Opera-Mini - Beta browser , but that sucks. I have  TWO  Lumia 920 phones with last update OS 8.10.12393.890. They both cannot connect to Starbucks Login Page. Tried to clean history, cash, cookies, performed several soft resets , etc... nothing works. Starbucks help desk say they could not replicate the scenario, but I'm sure I don't have to rely on them a lot (probably not professionals - they make coffee not phones or operating systems). This is for sure a Microsoft bug.

    Karolina--

Thanks for the post and advice.

The web pages that don't work don't work under several browsers on Windows Phone 8.1.  However, all the pages work fine on my laptop (Windows 7).

I also talked with AA.com, and they said it should work as the site meets some standard (I forget which one) that is applicable for IE9 and later.

    Best!

LCRT - Great!  Perhaps you can share some details so I can see where the error lies.

What type of phone?  Is it Windows 8.1?  Do you have IE 11 on the phone?  What settings do you have for IE11 that I might ahve set to block this specific site?

    Any info would be helpful.

    Hi LaMalaise,

    Thanks for posting!

I would suggest you to contact web admin and enquire, it is possible that settings for the site in question are not compatible with IE. I understand that you can open them vie other browsers on the Windows Phone ?

Thank you for your contributions to the forum!

    Kind Regards,
