    I used Pinnacle Game Profiler after trying a few others which did not fully work- But this one did and very easy to setup.

    Hey guys, Try using JoyToKey, great simple software. It allows me to use the 3GC on every game I play through my computer. You have to manually key each one of the buttons to a specific letter on key board or right/left clicks however, it is pretty simple and it works really well.

    There is no compatibility tab in properties for the controller set-up

    I am experiencing an issue with the controller 3GC from Steel Series as well. I have followed your instructions and still cannot get results.

    Hi Charlene,

    Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community Forums.

    I understand that you are facing an issue with the game controller as your SteelSeries 3GC game controller is not working with Windows 8.

    I am sorry to inform you that as of now there are no drivers present for Windows 8.

    Please answer the following questions for better understanding of the issue:

    1)      Do you get any error message?

    2)      Did you try connecting the device on another computer and check if it works?

    3)      Did you try connecting the device to different USB Port?

    There are no drivers available for Windows 8. Your SteelSeries 3GC game controller is only compatible with the following Operating System: Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7.

    However I would recommend you to download the SteelSeries 3GC game controller drivers from the manufacturer website in Windows 7 Compatibility mode. Below is the link provided to download drivers from the manufacturer website.

    Here are the steps to download the Drivers in the Compatibility mode:

    Steps to install in compatibility mode:

    a. Download the driver setup file and save it on your local disk.

    b. Right click on the setup file of the driver and select “Properties”

    c. Select “Compatibility” Tab.

    d. Make a check mark next to Run this program in “Compatibility mode” and select Windows 7 from the drop down list.

    e. Let the driver to install and then check the functionality.
