Try running the WMP library & configuration troubleshooters - Control panel, [View by Small icons, if necessary], Troubleshooters. These do have unfortunate effects including removing Date last played & Ratings properties.
Track length not shown in Windows Media Player
While trying to burn an album onto a cd, I found that I couldn't due to the fact that the album's tracks were missing a track length. Another problem with this is now I can't seek through the song with the seek bar on the bottom. The album's songs used to have their track lengths, but have lost them for some reason. The first picture is a screenshot of how the album looks now. Back when the album did show track lengths, I included some of the tracks in a playlist. This playlist, shown in the other attached screenshot, still shows the track lengths while the actual album doesn't. Other threads asking this question proved no help. How do I restore track lengths to the album?

This is more likely to do with some recent updates (to do with modifications to enable the upgrade to Windows 10) than it is to do with anything else. It may well be corrected in the June updates so unless you are experiencing any other issues I think you can ignore this - at least until this month's updates.
I suggest the next test you should try is opening a new user account (Control Panel - User Accounts - not the guest account). Set up WMP with default settings and test-rip a few CD's (or transfer in some albums via a memory stick) and see if the display is behaving correctly there. Thanks - R.

2015-06-02T10:34:44+00:00 Sometimes it works...not this time! So the next one to try is the SFC (system file checker) tool. Have you ever run that before? It scans your system for missing or corrupt files and produces an on-screen report.

Follow the onscreen instructions for W7 and again, restart your pc after it has completed.
(take a screenshot of the report first if anything is found) Thanks - R.

Hi welcome and thanks for the very helpful screenshots...the fact that the 'length' column is showing but empty, and that you cannot access the seek bar suggests all is not quite right....this may be update related but if you have not already done so try running the Fix It tool from the above link and see if that changes things - you may need to restart the pc after running to be certain.
Report back and we'll take it from there. Thanks - R.
