Sound not coming from Harman/Kardon speakers

Original title: Sound

I upgraded to Windows 8. I do have sound, but not the stereo sound I had. I have Harman/Kardon speakers and it doesn't seem like sound is coming from them. The sound is just dull and coming from the screen. I have a Toshiba laptop.

    Hi,

Check with your System Maker's Support (Motherboard Maker for custom systems) their

on-line documentation and drivers, and ask in their forums about any known issues.  Or

with the actual audio/sound device makers if a separate card/device.

Check with Toshiba Support, their on-line documentation and drivers (to update or re-install),

    and ask in their forums.

Check to see if you have the latest available driver. Download and install the latest driver.
