Thank you Abdul-Malik, for the response.
However, the problem still stands unresolved. I have updated the driver twice, but to no use.

I'm using a Dell BT Travel mouse (PU705) along with Windows 7 (Home basic) in a Dell Inspiron n5110 laptop. I'm able to connect and use the bluetooth mouse. But every time I boot up, I have to go to bluetooth devices, remove this BT mouse from the list, scan for bluetooth devices and re-connect the same mouse manually in order to use it. Is there any way to get it connected automatically on startup or at least to reduce the number of steps to connect? (I'm able to connect my sony sbh20 BT headset with just two clicks)
Thanks in advance

Although the issues pointed out in my last comment still persists, I could resolve the original issue in this thread. That is, my mouse is able to auto-connect on windows start-up now. I figured out that the real issue was, I had disabled the 'set point' software in the list of start-up programs (by running 'msconfig'). Now that I have set it as a start-up program, it works.
Dear Abdul-Malik,
Sorry that I still cannot resolve it.
I couldn't figure out the steps you specified. I'm attaching a screenshot of my device manager, wherein I see a lot of options regarding 'bluetooth'. I am not clear what should I deal with for this issue.
I do notice the yellow 'something is wrong' indicators in some places. Let me add, when I go to the properties of Bluetooth Remote Control under Human Interface Devices, it says 'This device cannot start (code 10)'. However the driver software for the same is shown to be up to date.

I’m sorry to know your issue is unresolved still.
The issue must be occurring due to the changes made to the power management settings of Bluetooth driver.
