how to uninstall AnyProtect TrayIcon.exe

I have windows 8-Firefox-I am trying to stop AnyProtect from coming up all the time- ive tried the control panel and i cant get AnyProtect to UNINSTALL.it just wont go away.It seems it has inbeded itself . The pop-up reads Connection Error-Please check your internet connection and hit ok ----My internet connection and hit ok... I dont want on my computer-  It just wont uninstall- Thx Ed

Step 1 through 3 should be sufficient.

    The window that came up for me said the charge was $69.95 and the small print said it was a semi-annual charge.  Please don't tell me that I didn't see what was right in front of my eyes.

    I am finished with this thread.  I posted asking for help, and I just got attacked....

    microsoft, thank you for moderating these threads.  Go attack someone eose now.

    Alert to all, the answer is a scam. It's advertising for software that poses to be free, but after scanning won't fix anything unless you pay them a $70 semi-annual recurring subscription.
