MGADiag validation status error - Unsupported OS

I've done both a repair, then a system restore on my OEM Win 8.1 laptop recently and am still having wonky issues. (weird folder structure, possibly missing dll's) I've run SFC, DSIM and don't seem to be having any windows update issues that I'm aware of.

I have a licensed copy of Kaspersky I.S 2015, along with several anti-malware apps. eg: MBAM and MBAE, and everything is reporting clean.  Although MBAM did find a few PUPS, but nothing else I'm aware of.

    As per description you are getting MGADiag validation status error - Unsupported OS.

    I would appreciate, if you can provide us the following information to help us understand the issue better?

    1. Are you trying to activate windows?
    2. Are you getting any error message/ error code while trying to activate windows?

    The installed Operating system  is Windows 8.1 - which MGADiag does not support.  That is the reason you are getting this message.

    The MGA Diagnostic Tool is for a Windows 7 computer and not for a computer with Windows 8.1 installed..

    Select the keyboard shortcut Win+X, and click Command Prompt (Admin) on the drop down menu. Type *cd* and press ENTER. Type or paste Licensingdiag.exe -report %userprofile%\desktop\report.txt -log %userprofile%\desktop\repfiles.caband press the ENTER key. Paste the contents of report.txt into a reply here.

I think I even read that somewhere this weekend, but I obviously didn't see the forest for the trees and kept on insisting it work for me.    I digress.    I went ahead and marked your's as the answer Ashish, although I'd still like to see what Gerry says.  Hope that's ok.
