    Hi

Unless you have an "N" edition of Windows 7, you should have Windows Media Player. If you do have an "N" edition, please see:

    http://windows.microsoft.com/is-IS/windows7/products/What-is-Windows-7-N-edition

for more details and a download link.

Otherwise, first try to find the executable file for Windows Media Player and create a new shortcut from that.

    1. Open Windows Explorer (not Internet Explorer).
    2. Navigate to:

    *C:\Program Files (x86)\Windows Media Player*

    1. Locate the file called wmplayer.exe then right-click on it and create a desktop shortcut.
    2. Test the shortcut.

If the above does not work, try:

    1. Click on Start (bottom left) then Control Panel.
    2. Click on Programs and Features.
    3. On left hand side of screen, click on "Turn Windows features on or off".
    4. Find the entry called Media Features, expand it then *tick the box next to Windows Media Player.
    5. Click OK.
    6. Restart PC.

*If the Windows Media Playerbox is already ticked, untick it, hit OK, restart your PC then do Steps 1 to 6 above.
