Hi
Unless you have an "N" edition of Windows 7, you should have Windows Media Player. If you do have an "N" edition, please see:
http://windows.microsoft.com/is-IS/windows7/products/What-is-Windows-7-N-edition
for more details and a download link.
Otherwise, first try to find the executable file for Windows Media Player and create a new shortcut from that.
- Open Windows Explorer (not Internet Explorer).
- Navigate to:
*C:\Program Files (x86)\Windows Media Player*
- Locate the file called wmplayer.exe then right-click on it and create a desktop shortcut.
- Test the shortcut.
If the above does not work, try:
- Click on Start (bottom left) then Control Panel.
- Click on Programs and Features.
- On left hand side of screen, click on "Turn Windows features on or off".
- Find the entry called Media Features, expand it then *tick the box next to Windows Media Player.
- Click OK.
- Restart PC.
*If the Windows Media Playerbox is already ticked, untick it, hit OK, restart your PC then do Steps 1 to 6 above.
