Netflix Won't Install on Windows 8.1 Error Code 0x80070057

I have a fresh install of Windows 8.1, and I've been trying to download Netflix so I can use it without Chrome sucking up all my RAM. The only problem is, when I try to install it, I continuously get error code 0x80070057. I have tried numerous fixes, including booting in safe mode, updating display drivers, resetting Windows Store, creating a new store cache, and running multiple Windows troubleshooters. To add insult to injury, I have downloaded multiple other apps, and they all downloaded and installed perfectly. Netflix is the only one so far that is unable to install. Somebody please help me.

I can't download flixster, is there any alternative?

    BmXSD's solution works.

    For those outside the USA:

    1- Close the Store

2- Go to Settings > Change PC Settings >Time and Language >Region and Language and then change the country to United States

3- Reopen the Store and install Flixster since it will be now available

    4- Install Netflix

Finally change the country to your original location and that is it.

I've been trying for days also to get this fixed. It was working fine before i went to Windows 10 then i did a fresh install of windows 8.1 and bam.. same exact error. Microsoft or netflix needs to fix this issue. I've talked to two netflix techs also on this issue. If you look @ the window store reviews for netflix you can see everyone is having the same issue with installing now.

I have this same problem, and have done exactly what you have done.

I've talked with two separate Netflix tech support persons via chat, and they can't figure it out other than "it's a Microsoft Problem."

A solution would be much appreciated. :(

Found the fix and im going to post it on multiple replies.

    Netflix installs for me now!!!!

This problem can be solved easily for the time beign by just downloading an app that installs those two DLLs.

    1. Open the Windows Store App
    2. Search for Flixster
    3. Install the App Flixster
    4. Wait for the installation to finish
    5. Then search for Netflix
    6. Install Netflix

We had the same problem with Netflix on of our own virtual machines. So we can’t be sure this solution works for everybody we did wanted to share it with you all.
