Original Title: Google Chrome cursor disappears..again

Hi. I've tried some of the fixes recommended - went to mouse settings in control panel and "unclicked" the "hide the mouse pointer when typing."

i went to google chrome settings and unchecked "use hardware acceleration when typing."

That worked temporarily, but now this morning it is at it again.

Any ideas? I don't want to abandon chrome, but i'm close.

thanks.

Windows 8.1. Asus 2and1 laptop. Using a bluetooth mouse.

    Found this answer on https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!topic/chrome/Cd02iDR71GU.

Open the Chrome task manager by pressing Shift + esc.

    Highlight Plugin: Shockwave Flash.

    Click end process.

Alternatively, open the Windows task manager and end every process called Google Chrome, then restart Chrome.

This should bring back your pointer.

I've had the same problem and fixed it with ending google chrome in the end task manager (Alt+Ctrl+Del)

Same here one minute it was ok, then my wifi signal dropped and when it returned my mouse pointer was invisible - it did still show up for re-sizing windows though of course the window edge could only be located by chance.

Nothing else had been changed. Switching to Windows 8 mode restored mouse -very many thanks for that info.

The cursor becomes visible again if I switch Chrome to Windows 8 mode instead of desktop mode.

[I have a Surface Pro 3, with a Microsoft Bluetooth Mouse. My plugins include Evernote, adblock, Google Voice, Google Cast, Calendar and Countdown, Trend Micro]

    1. click the three-bar Chrome customization icon.
    2. select Relaunch Chrome in Windows 8 mode.
    3. Mouse works now.

Reverse the process, to use Desktop mode, and cursor submerges from view.
