See the following free removal guide from Malwaretips: http://malwaretips.com/blogs/landing-driverrestore-com-virus/

If you do not see the program in Control Panel that you think is responsible for the ads and popups or you cannot uninstall it then move on to steps 2 through 4. If necessary you can run Hitman Pro (Trial Version) as suggested in step 5.

IMO, both of you are trying to promote a commercial program which is absolutely unwanted.

Suggestion to read How to remove Driver Restore (Virus Removal Guide)

"Driver Restore (by 383 Media, Inc) is a driver update software which checks for new available drivers on the user’s computer. However, if you try to actually update your drivers, Driver Restore will state that you need to buy its full version before being able to do so."

I get a pop-up from DriverRestore. Is this the same program as landing-driverrestore-com as discussed in your answer to Albert Y ? The logo shows a circular design containing microsoft colors of yellow, blue, green and red.

    Hi,

Doesn't matter if it's the exact same program. The programs at malwaretips, in Le Boule's post, will almost certainly help you. You will probably not have to run HitmanPro. Save that free trial use for another time when you really need it.

I had a problem today on my HP computer and the HP website stated I was missing many drivers. Suddenly it switched over to the Driver Restore purchase screen. I had a question and called customer service ( in India) and the man did a remote check and said I had many problems and it would cost $250.00 to fix it.I cancelled everything... It seemed as if it was a scam..they may have planted problems.. Then my wife said she downloaded the program...it was difficult to remove. Someone helped by phone and removed it.
