The game Luxor on Windows 10

I have 2 versions of the game Luxor running. When I upgraded to Windows 10 one version began to experience a rapidly flashing screen that makes it impossible to play and the other experiences an uncontrollable mouse function. I know these are silly games but I enjoy them and I paid for them. Hope there is some way to fix them. Thanks to anyone who can help.

    I have this problem as well.  Quite a few of the steam games that are similar don't work.  All the luxors, elf bowling, reaxxion.   All the normal business programs are working though.

    It's all about the games Luxor and Luxor Amun Rising. The Games flicker, because they have 75 Hz in full screen mode a refresh rate. Since most monitors nowadays have only one refresh rate of up to 60 Hz. One can read in the log files that are located in the respective installation folder. By deleting the gfx2d_dx8.dll in these folders, the game was working again without flicker.

    I found an option of going back to WINDOWS 7 in settings.. I was so frustrated with the features of Windows 10 and the fact that it killed some of my favorite games I PAID FOR. that I went back to 7. Not only that, the saving of pictures didn't make me happy either. My files were not easy to access like before.

    Windows told me that I have the latest driver so no, it didn't work and I still have a flickering screen with Luxor. Luxor is my favorite game so I may be rolling back to Win 7 too. 10 may turn out to be the same nightmare that 8 was.

    I would suggest you to follow the steps provided below and check if it helps.  

    Try to run [System File Checker] SFC scan on the computer which would scan for corrupt system files on the computer and replace them
