I agree with those who say to uninstall Trusteer Rapport. I've used Trusteer for perhaps 8-10 years, and did not suspect it of causing problems. However, lots of trouble started with the Windows 10 cumulative updates in 2018. The latest trouble was that Edge would shut down a few seconds after starting. After a bit of research, I learned that others cured the problem by uninstalling Trusteer. I then uninstalled Trusteer and the problem disappeared. It seems everything is now running faster. I won't take the time to investigate much further, but I suspect Trusteer has been causing trouble all along. I'm now wondering what other programs I should uninstall.
Trusteer(Rapport) End Point Protection. WARNING!
Been Having problems will System Config and Apps & Programs just stop working since the release of Windows 8.1 on Oct 18 2013. This has been gradually getting worse. Nothing I tried worked until Tues this week. Did a Factory Restore and update to Windows 8.1u1. After 24 hrs I install my Microsoft Office and Cyberlink Media Suite 11. No issues at all so added Trusteer Endpoint Protection and immediately couldn't Access Event Viewer, System Config, Control Panel etc, and programs and Apps started stopping. Removed Trusteer Endpoint protection, an things are back to normal but my Computer is so slow I am going to have to do another reset in order to get everything back to normal. My advice if your Bank or anyone ask you to install this software DON'T.

2015-11-04T14:08:36+00:00 Similar issue on two laptops in our organization: our financial institution KBC forced us to install the Trusteer tool before allowing us to connect to their online banking web application. However immediately after installing this security tool on the brand new laptops (with a fast Intel i7 CPU) the system slows down considerably, making it barely usable.
We have removed the Trusteer tool and we are considering using a dedicated machine for connecting to the KBC online banking system. Unbelievable how this release got past the QA team (if any?) ...

2015-09-24T19:52:28+00:00 This is likely the most diabolical piece of non-spyware software ever released. I've been running Win7 64 Ultimate on a Vaio Z21 for 5 years. The system runs without a glitch, but the last update for Trusteer(Rapport) End Point Protection brought my OS down to its knees, caused CPU throttling, and rendered my laptop overall unusable. After restoring the system a couple of times I figured out the problem was the Trusteer End Point Protection update 3.5.1507.61. Once deactivated everything was back to normal. Steer clear from this amazingly bloated, poorly designed piece of code. This thing has easily taken a week of healthy work time from my life. That's pretty much all they have to offer.

2015-09-19T22:15:50+00:00 9-18-15 They haven't fixed anything. I have Windows 7 pro. This program shut down Norton scanning ability, blocked me from loading Spybot, and blocked my access to any restore point.

2014-04-20T20:39:11+00:00 Well good for you but your experience doesn't helps someone with the Problem. It is like Windows 8/8.1 some of us have no problems with it like it the way it was originally release while others here **** and moan that it is a piece of Junk. See it all is a matter of perspective.
