New software updates for Nokia 220/220 Dual SIM & Nokia 225/225 Dual SIM: 30.04.11/30.06.11

we have started rolling out new software updates for Nokia 220 (RM-970 & RM-971) / 220 Dual SIM (RM-969) and Nokia 225 (RM-1012) / 225 Dual SIM (RM-1011 & RM-1043). For more details and update instructions, refer to your local support pages. E.g.:

    I update the phone software with Nokia Software Recovery Tool to the latest 30.06.11 SW version. My previous version of firmware is 10.01.11 with Nokia Xpress Browser.

    My current software:

    In the last update to the software for Nokia 225 browser Opera Mini v4.4.39007 (2015-06-15 oem_nokia) there is not work properly on the russian (ukrainian) sites - the words are cut in width, that is simply no end in so many words. I suspect that the problem is "smoothed" fonts used in the new firmware versions after 10.01.11. Websites with Latin displayed normally, Opera Mini reformats pages correctly. However, the Cyrillic characters are wider and the words just do not fit in the designated rows, and therefore have problems with cutting words. Naturally, about comfortable reading sites are not talking, but the phone is positioned including for this purpose, having a screen diagonal 2.8 inches. I would like to hear the comments of the company tested whether any work correctly before releasing firmware? Given the proliferation of phone on Russian-speaking markets, a bug with Internet browser can be considered critical because Nokia Xpress server will be disconnected in December, and those who want to continue to use the Internet on this phone - will need to update the firmware. And they will be disappointed.

    Hi armagonfin, i would like to report a few issues (bugs) with this phone so that it can be corrected in future software updates or newer phone models. Here is a list of them:

    1. Picture zoom is not working. We can zoom the camera when take a photo (camera zoom), but after taking the snapshot we cannot zoom it when viewing it. (Up/Down Left/Right softkeys do the same thing, ie go to the next picture)
    2. Radio lowest volume (1 point) is itself too high. Also the radio quality fluctuates a lot (When compared to another older nokia model in the same place of recording)
    3. Texting is too slow. When composing an sms it takes some time for the text to appear on the phone after we have typed into the keyboard.
