It's saying "An update for Windows on May 10, 2020 is on its way. We offer this update for compatible devices, but your device is not quite ready for it. When your device is ready, you will see the update available on this" but I am waiting like a month and still it's nothing, can someone help me?

Please, don't directly download the ISO file. If he system is not compatible to latest update it will start giving many other problems. I tried and was facing Blued Screen Overlay all over the desktop.
So, better wait and give some more time to updates when all the issues are cleared by windows they will let you know when it will be available for your device.

Please remove third party software and keep hardware driver update to latest version from computer manufacturer website. Turn off firewall and antivirus software then reboot computer to check the option again.
The easy way for your situation is install Windows 10 2004 ISO image and upgrade through it.
Open https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10 and choose "Update now" or "Download tool now"

I have 1909 and tried the update but it does not work it keeps telling me that my computer is not ready and all I want to do is a repaire.

What kind of 3rd party software? There's a lot so please be clear.
Drivers are latest, firewall and antivirus deactivated.
Installed stuck at 99% using both update now or ISO for a few days, tried the way proposed by copying C:\$GetCurrent media folder to desktop and rebooted yet stuck at 99%. Had been trying this since 2004 was released.
N.B>: Removing 3rd party software is a ridiculous way of upgrading coz never had this problem prior so please give a REAL solution! Like Stefaan Colson said, you can't be serious right?
Anyway, found out that there's lots of Lenovo models that's not compatible with Win 10 2004(driver issues?) so can't upgrade until either Microsoft or Lenovo comes to an agreement on how to do so! Bummer?

II am using a lenovo g50 30 its quite old, after updating to 1909 I cannot install either 2004 or 21H1. installing stuck at 61%. It is useless to even try using iso. If someone finds a fix through regedits the pls tell

Mine is a Lenovo ThinkPad E440.
And FYI, a few months back Windows Update popped up and mentioning it's installing 21H1 and not 2004 so I gladly let it run. It seemed that certain hardware drivers Lenovo wasn't supporting anymore(coz E440 is really really old! Yet mine is in perfect condition after upgrading myself a few times) and somehow M$ managed to get it sorted?
So for me this issue is no more relevant and best of luck to you two! 😁😁😁
