What are AMB files in \Temp folder and how to prevent it from eating all disk space?

On Windows Server 2012 R2 I can see many .AMB files in \Temp folder.
File names look like "w3wp.exe-20151005033605.amb" or similar.
File size is usually up to 400 MB.
Is IIS responsible for it?
Any way to configure system not to create so many of them? It can occupies many GBs over the week.
What is stored in this files?
I didn't find more detailed information.
