saw fmapp under msconfig startup, with words unkown for manufacturer, web advertisement describes it as tray cleaner. disabled it under startup. am nervous about uninstalling it and could not find it while using uninstall a program on windows 7 professional anyway. should i uninstall this application and how would i do that? in other words this application is not from microsoft right? and will uninstalling it cause problems? it no longer shows up under task manager as 'Processes'. I do not want this to become a virus or ruin my operating system doing an unnecessary or improperly done uninstall.
thank you for your time.

I also have a Lenovo laptop bought just a month ago for college. I love for its sleekness and response times... okay maybe not the latter so much.
Ever since I began using it, there was a substantial input lag once every second or so - even after upgrading to Windows 10. Some days that doesn't happen, but thanks to this notification from Visual Studio 2013 JiT Debugger, it turns out that FMAPP.exe is responsible for these lags!
I don't know if it's because the program is poorly optimized or should require an update, but I decided to disable its startup process and feared the sound may not work... well, it didn't - the sound still works.
Just putting this into perspective if anybody else have this problem.
I myself have tried almost everything. As I have a desktop, this is a different scenario. FMAPP.exe being disabled doesn't do anything for me. Any other ideas, been working on this for about 7 hrs.
Switching the mouse ports, reset Chrome....
Just for reference, it is that process and many are having that problem. Not only does it cause mouse lag, it also kills network connectivity, meaning network traffic slows down to a fraction or maybe even become non-responsive (highly suspicious in my opinion). Here's a thread dedicated to users having trouble with this process on Lenovo & Acer Laptops with the solution of disabling FMAPP.exe: http://www.tenforums.com/drivers-hardware/14107-windows-10-mouse-lagging.html
This issue is present in Windows 8 (thinking back, I thought this was a memory issue at the time), but Windows 10 exacerbates the problem. The issues from FMAPP.exe seem very suspicious (almost malware like) and warrant further investigation.
Thank you for your answer, it is found in my lenovo notebook computer and i will leave it alone as it came with it if i am following them. again thank you for your time.
