Can't change my xbox gamertag for free the first time...

I am unable to change my xbox live gamertag for free as it says. I have never changed my gamertag before but when I try to change it, it shows that I have to buy it for $9.99 plus tax. Here is exactly what it says when I try to change it,

    Hello,

    Is this the first time you've tried to change the Gamertag?  You can only change it once free of charge. 

    What’s a gamertag?

    It’s your online alter-ego for Xbox. Your gamertag represents you when you’re playing games and sharing with other people in the Xbox community.We’ll create a gamertag for you the first time you sign in to Xbox. If you don’t like it, you can change it once for free.

    • To change your gamertag in Windows 10, open the Xbox app and select your gamerpic to open your profile. Then go to Customize > Change gamertag and follow the instructions.
    • To change it on your Xbox One, open Friends > My profile > Customize profile > Change gamertag and follow the instructions.

    If you've never changed it, scroll to the bottom of the page and click on Contact Us to chat with Microsoft Support.

    I was told that I can only change it within 30 days . My Microsoft account is already a few years old... I havn't used the Xbox Features before so I did not notice the Gamertag.

    I never heard about the Gamertag before and now they told me I have to spend 10€ to change the automatically generated Gamertag...

    Sorry Microsoft but this will not be happen -.-

    I have the same problem. My Gamertag is StatueSpreu393 <- I don't know where this name come from and i never heard that name before...

    When I try to change the tag the XBox app told me I already have had changed my Gamertag once for free...

    I'm pretty sure that I never changed my tag. (I even don't have an idea what StatueSpreu means...)
