Hello community.

I remember playing Freelancer on Windows 7 and 8.1 a while ago and thought I'd give it a try on the new Windows 10; only it doesn't seem to want to run even when I ran everything as Administrator and reinstalled it multiple times... Any suggestions? I really don't want to go back to Windows 8.1 for the sole purpose of playing one game. Thanks.

I got Freelancer to work on Windows 10 64 Bit. I ran compatability mode Windows XP and run as administrator. I downloaded the NO-CD .exe from:

http://the-starport.net/freelancer/download/singlefile.php?cid=1&lid=2649

Then installed FL1.1 patch.

So in the link there is something mentioned called "duel booting"... I'm not 100% sure what that means but would that make the game playable or is it still impossible to run Freelancer on Windows 10? Thanks.

vista and up are all unable to play freelancer now

1)I am running with a ASUS Nvidia GTX 760 with the latest graphics version, Intel Core i7-4770S CPU @ 3.10GHz, 12 gb ram, Windows 10 64-bit.

    1. When I attempt to run the game after installation, a window that allows me to click "Play" comes up but nothing happens after that. When I attempt to run the game straight from the application on the disk I get multiple error pop-ups saying that DALib.dll, Movie.dll, Common.dll, and DACOM.dll are missing when they were obviously installed with all the other files.
    2. I read somewhere that Windows 10 blocks a type of file called "SECDRV.SYS" that is located on the Freelancer disk if this is relevant.

    -Thanks
