For example: I go onto google and type in "Pardeeville Schools" and hit search. It says "Webpage not available" and then this comes up below that: ERR_CONTENT_DECODING_FAILED

Below that there's "Details".

This is what the details show.

The webpage at **https://www.google.com/search?site=webhp&source=hp&q=pardeeville+school&oq=pardeeville+school&gs\_l=hp.3...8491.12412.0.12841.19.13.0.0.0.0.584.1364.3-1j1j1.3.0....0...1c.1.64.hp..17.2.942.0.\_hsIJ0b\_Vs8** might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address.

    Hello,

Thank you for visiting Microsoft Community.

As per the description, I understand that you’re facing issues with Google Chrome while trying to go on certain websites.

I would like to know a few information:

    • Are you also facing this issue with Internet Explorer?

    • Did you make any changes to the hardware/software prior to this issue?

If the issue is only while using Google chrome, I would suggest you to post your query in Google Support Forums referring to the link mentioned below:

    www.support.google.com

But, If you're facing this issue with the Internet Explorer as well, I would suggest you to follow the steps mentioned below:

    Method 1:

You may try to reset the TCP/IP stack go to this article and either click on "Fix it for me" or follow the instructions to fix it yourself:

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/299357

    Method 2:

Further, you may boot the computer in Safe Mode and check if the issue persists. Safe Mode starts

Windows with a minimal set of drivers and services.

Windows Startup Settings (including safe mode): http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-8/windows-startup-settings-safe-mode

If the issue does not occur in Safe Mode, then you may boot the computer in a Clean Boot state and check the status.

When you start Microsoft Windows, typically there are several programs that start automatically and run in the background that may interfere with the game. These programs may include antivirus and system utility programs. When you perform a clean startup procedure, you prevent these programs from starting automatically.

How to perform Clean Boot on Windows

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/929135

Note: After you have finished troubleshooting, follow steps under “How to reset the computer to start as usual after troubleshooting with clean boot” in the article to boot to normal startup.

    Hope this information helps.

Please provide us the required information to search more about this and understand the issue more clearly and we will be glad to offer our assistance.

    Thank you.

    Sincerely,

    Ankit Rajput
