Can't verify release date of Fable III Retail Copy

I recently found a retail copy of Fable III that I wanted to play. I installed the game just fine, but when it came to verifying the release date of the game, it says it can not connect to the Games for Windows Live servers. I know the servers got shut down, but I can still access the Games for Windows Marketplace program just fine. I've tried everything at this point. I uninstalled the original Xlive and Games for Windows Live Marketplace that came on the disc and installed the newest up to date versions of them. Is there no possible way for me to play this anymore since the servers are down now?

Sure, no problem. I'm using a retail copy of the game for this, but if you're using a Steam copy I can't imagine it being too much different.

First, install the game. After it's done don't launch it just yet.

Next, take the timeslip xlive.dll file and put it in the Fable III installation folder.

Then from the Fable III folder, navigate to the Zdp folder. From there run the zdp application as an admin and it should work. After that, it may have you verify the game again, (I'm guessing through SecuROM) and then you should be able to play =)

Ok, I'm literally stuck with this thing. I have tried the timeslip a dozen times (putting it inside the Fable 3 folder and the zdp folder), have tried the "enter" key stroke while the zero day policy launcher is running, launched from the zdp.exe, using my product key on steam, and contacted both Steam and Microsoft support to get this fixed and nothing works.

I have installed the game from the retail copy and I'm stuck in the Zero Day Policy Launcher where the date needs to be verified. What's the next step?

Also, I originally did not have any xlive.dll in the Fable 3 folder after normal disc installation.

I can't understand the instructions to use the GFWL remover think you can elaborate.

I tried to use that, and was planning on using it, but the instructions say it has to do the release check first before I do anything. Which I can't get pass =/

Edit: I just tried it again for the heck of it, and now it finally works. I must have done this so many times. Thank you =)
