Problem with FPS in Windows 10 and PC Reset

Greetings everyone,

Ever since I upgraded to Windows 10, my FPS went down in most heavy games. The worst case is TERA (an MMORPG) where I used to have 40-70 FPS on Windows 7 and now I get 10-30 FPS on Windows 10. Some games (like Guild Wars 2) seem to be working fine though.

I don't really know if it's bad game compatibility with Windows 10 or if Windows 10 doesn't like my PC components (AMD FX-6350, Hexacore 3.9 Ghz, 8GB RAM, Sapphire R9 270 2GB 256 bit graphic card).

If anyone has any solution for the FPS problem, any help is welcome. But my main question for this thread is this:

Reset PC vs Clean Install: is there any difference? I used the Reset PC function, thinking that maybe a PC reset would help, but it didn't.

I've read somewhere that Reset PC is the same thing as Clean Install. So trying a Clean Install won't make any difference if Reset PC didn't help me with the FPS problem, right?

    Hi,

    2. Search for Display Adapters and expand it.
    3. Right click on the graphics driver and select Update driver software.
    4. Restart the System and check playing the Game again.

Method 2: Follow the steps to install the Game in Compatibility mode.

    1. Search for the game setup.exe file.
    2. Right click and select Properties then tap or click the Compatibility tab.
    3. Place a check in the Run this program in compatibility mode for: box.
    4. Tap or click the drop down box and select a previous operating system, then tap or click OK.
    5. Try installing the Game and check.

Method 3: Also reduce the hardware accelerationand check with the issue.

    1. On the desktop, press Windows key + X and select Control Panel.
    2. In Large Icons View, click on Display and click on Change Display Settings, in the left pane.
    3. Click on Advanced Settings. In the Advanced Settings window, if Troubleshooting tab is present, then the graphics card supports hardware acceleration.
    4. Click on the Troubleshooting tab and move the Hardware Acceleration slider to Full.
