I have a dell computer that is my grandfathers. He had so many viruses and and rootkies that I took his hard drive out and wiped it clean. He had a Vista backup boot disk but it was lost. I am wondering where to download the Vista Home Premium .iso file. I have the microsoft sticker on the side so i have the activation code and everything I just cant find the iso online anywhere legally.

My grandpa is really worried about people getting his information. So I wrote a code that filledthe entire disk with 1's. There I'd no recovering anything from it. I only did this because he told me he had the disk.

Also,how was the HD "wiped clean",try tapping the F12 key on pc start-up,dell gives you boot
options,maybe a hidden partition might exist on the HD.Also,maybe think of a newer OS,Win 7
