CAFADEBUg.log - what is this?

I have read the post on 20 October about this and have run a scan with Windows Defender, which hasn't picked up anything. This file appears in the Windows/Users/Public folder. It updates every time I log out of my machine. The text in the file is to do with cAudioFilterAgent64.exe but I'm afraid it means nothing to me. It was originally created way back before I bought the computer.

What is this file? Should I be concerned? Can I get rid of it?

Thanks - I have done as you suggest. I did not disable Windows Defender when I did the scan as I think Malwarebytes is compatible with Defender? Anyway, it detected 4 threats from PUPs:

    C:\Program Files (x86...\bin\SPVC32Loader.dll

    C:\Program Files(x86...\bin\SPVC64Loader.dll

    HKLM\SYSTEM\CURRE...ERVICES\CltMngSvc

    C:\Program Files (x86...ain\bin\CltMngSvc.exe

I have removed these. Nothing found in relation to CAFADEBUG, which is still there and still updating when log out and switch off.

I guess all is ok then.....for now anyway?

Just to be sure please run Malwarebytes

cAudioFilterAgent64.exe is your Conexant High Definition Audio Filter Agent

Please download the free version of Malwarebytes.

    Update it immediately.

    Do a full system scan

Let us know the results at the end.
