How do I remove CompuClever PC Clean Maestro from my computer?

Somehow this program has gotten onto my computer and I cannot figure out how to get it off. I have already uninstalled it from the Control Panel, however it still runs. I tried downloading Revo to remove it but the program wasn't showing up on there. I also have tried going to Win+R, typing in "regedit" and deleting anything with "Compuclever" or "pccum" in the title/file. I don't see it running in my Task Manager.... Does anyone know what other names it might hide under or what publisher it would be under? I'm getting very frustrated because I have no idea how it got on my computer in the first place and now it just keeps on popping up no matter what I do to get rid of it. Any help/info is much appreciated!

Avast Free is a good antimalware program but unfortunately many antimalware programs do not detect and eliminate all potentially unwanted programs (PUPS).

I'm guessing the start-up vestiges may have been in your browser.  AdwCleaner may have removed "PC Maestro" but as it has been difficult to eliminate you may want to reset your browsers to factory default settings.

I'd also run AdwCleaner and Malwarebytes Free until both were not identifying any issues.

    Good luck...

So let me get this straight.  You **** create a virus/malware/worm tat infects our computers, hacks its way in UNWANTED, and then when we remove it you've figured out a way to leave some of it "in memory" so we can't delete it.  Then, when we want to get rid of your piece of **** program that we didn't knowingly want or give permission to receive in the first place, you want us to REINSTALL your virus/malware over the one we already tried to get rid of, and delete it AGAIN?

If your worm/virus/malware was legitimate, you'd have never created it so that it was impossible or even difficult to delete; if it was legitimate, you'd have created it so that every part of it was deleted or removed during uninstall in the first place.  It is laughable that you idiots think that we are so stupid that we believe for even one moment that any clean, safe, legitimate tool like that would leave behind remnants after an uninstall.

The truth is that the program is at BEST junk, and at worst a virus or malware, and you know it <removed> - excuse me "Richard". (I'm SURE that's your real name).  Why don't you idiots put your talents to good use and get a job instead of ripping people off of their hard-earned money.

    Hello Sam,

Your question just came to our attention here at CompuClever.  As to how the program was installed on the system I am uncertain but the issue with the uninstall is caused by the uninstall being run while part of the application is still in memory.  The information for uninstalling the program is removed but the program (because it was up in memory) is not.  The solution is to reinstall the program over the remaining install, then close the program before running the uninstall process again.

If you have any questions or concerns about any of our program I invite you to contact us at our support service which is "******@compuclever.com".

I did every scan on Avast, I only have the free version so I'm not sure if that is up to par. But nothing came up on those scans. I uninstalled everything that was unnecessary on my computer last week. (I just got the computer 3 months ago so there's not much). I just downloaded AdwCleaner and removed about 15 files/addons I couldn't see before. So hopefully that works out. When I type Compuclever in the search bar (I have Windows 8), It still shows up. But i dont want to click on it, just in case it is disabled. Hitman Pro will be next step. Thanks for your help

Have you sought assistance from your antimalware provider (Avast, AVG, McAfee, Norton, etc)?

Did you look in the StartUp Menu?  Can you identify any item that was added about the time your issue appeared?  If so, disable it.

Any new programs added in Control Panel when PC Maestro first showed up that you have not removed?

Did you try resetting your browsers
