Star Wars - Galactic Battlegrounds :

battlegrounds_x1 run on windows 8.1 OK

after update to windows 10

battlegrounds_x1 don't run on windows 10  Not OK! ):

    Hi Paul,

    Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community, we appreciate your interest in Windows 10.

    I understand the inconvenience you are facing with accessing the game on Windows 10, do let us know the following to assist you better:

    1. What exactly happens when you try to install the game?
    2. From where have you downloaded this game?

    As a work around, I suggest you to install the game in compatibility mode on Windows 10 and check if it works fine.

    Follow the steps to install in Compatibility mode:

    1. Download the updated gaming software from the Manufacturer's website.
    2. Right click the gaming software installation file and select Properties then click the Compatibility tab.
    3. Place a check in the Run this program in compatibility mode for: box.
    4. Tap the drop down box and select a previous operating system, then click OK.
    5. Try installing the game and check.

    Also, try to install all the pending updates from Microsoft and Manufacturer's website.

    Though no official patch exists to resolve this, a fix was posted last year for this problem by a user:

    1. Copy file "winmm.dll" from "C:\Windows\SysWOW64" folder to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\

    common\STAR WARS - Galactic Battlegrounds Saga\Game". 2. Rename the existing win32.dll in the Game folder to win32_old.dll 3. Rename the winmm.dll to win32.dll 4. Start the game with a shortcut to battlegrounds_x1.exe

    You can also right click, select properties and change the compatibility mode to Windows XP SP2 if you are still

    experiencing problems.
