disable xbox360 driver for gamepad

hi,

i'm a disabled gamer and i usually configure my gamepad through a software called xpadder. however, with newer games, the gamepad is automatically recognized as an xbox360 controller and hence uses the pre-configured settings that come with the games. is there a way to install my gamepad as a generic "non" xbox360 controller so i can manually configure the buttons? all i ever use is the d-pad to replicate wsad for movement and i use a mouse with the other hand.

thanks,

    Hi.

I think you have two options to fix that problem:

Option One.- Try to downloading the lastest version of Xpadder.

Option Two.- Try to uninstall or update your XBOX 360 controller's and Touchpad's drivers by doing the following steps:

1.- Right click on Windows Start Icon and select Device Manager.

2.- Once Device Manager is opened, expand Mice and other pointer devices and Game Controllers.

3.- Every driver that is in Display, right click and select Update Driver Software.

4.- A window will be opened. Choose Search automatically for a update driver software.

5.- Once the installation of your drivers are completed, restart your PC and try running Xpadder again.

    Hope this helped.
